FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships take place this week in Vuokatti and Lahti. Even though audience cannot cheer for the athletes on the spot streams are available from both locations.
In Vuokatti the U20 and U23 competitions will start tomorrow. Athletes come from 37 different countries. 435 cross country skiers will compete on the tracks from Wednesday until Sunday. Live stream is provided by Elisa, and a Finnish Software-based TV-production service provider, Kepit Systems. In Finland, the competitions can be viewed through Elisa Cable TV, while the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is in charge of the international rights. For example, in Sweden STV Play and in Norway NRK TV show the competitions live.
Nordic combined and ski jumping will take place in Lahti. 20 countries are represented in both sports. In ski jumping, 54 women and 69 men compete for the World Champion title. In Nordic combined there is a few less athletes, 36 women and 58 men. Live stream from the competitions can be viewed in Finnish Ski Association’s Youtube channel.
